It’s true - Israel does not need our money to conduct this war in Gaza.


Its problem is not too few resources, rationing shells, shit like that. Its problems are severe, but not about lack of resources.

So answer mostly is politics. Some who oppose aid to Ukraine want aid to Israel. And I think globally, we see an axis of Russia, China, and Iran, and this bill includes something to address all those regional challenges individually and collectively.

So, I think the answer is, it’s necessary to build the political consensus to take advantage of this unique moment of oppty to compromise.
